Candle Care
Trim your wick
Each time you light your candle (including the first time), you should trim the wick to between 1/4 and 1/2 inches.
Trimming the wick ensures the candle burns longer and more evenly over its lifetime.
If the wick is too long, it could lead to tunneling, uneven burning, or emitting soot.
Burn at least 2 hours
Let your candle burn for at least two hours when you light it. The wax should melt edge to edge and burn evenly down the vessel.
Don't Burn More than 4 Hours
After four hours, carbon build-up can cause an unstable flame, which can lead to wax tunneling, soot damage, and damage to the candle container.
To prevent overheating, extinguish the candle when it reaches the maximum recommended burn time, which is usually around 3-4 hours.
